Preparation./Camping.

Preparing to leave for the next two years has not been fun, but it has been good for manipulating my sister. She says "no" to me and I simply respond, "I'm leaving in four days." Now, though, it is more like two days.
Here are some things I am taking with me to Mongolia:
-A gigantic jar of jif extra crunchy.
-MiniCliffBars (they are quite cute)
-Kashi Chewy Granola Bars
-Coffee
-Earl Grey Tea
-Spices
-French Press
-Bean and Barley Soup Mix
Yes, I am taking a suitcase of only food. No, i am not, but i should.
-Alot of Long Underwear, expedition weight (2 pair), midweight (1 pair), lightweight (2 pair).
-A watch.
-Bubba.
-Lonely Planet MOngolian phrasebook...I can still only say one phrase in Mongolian.
My parents (well, really just my mom) like to think that there will be packs of wild Shih Tzus running around MOngolia, since Bubba is a Shih Tzu and Shih Tzus are Chinese...
My brother, sisters, and I went to a cabin this weekend at Fort Mountain State Park.
Here are some pictures:

Oh, and we flooded the dishwasher.
Apparently, dishwashing soap meant for washing dishes by hand isnot meant to go in the dishwasher for good reason. Who knew?!

Your camping facilities look to be quite good. I suppose that may be the most luxury you'll experience for a while.

I believe there is a kind of liquid detergent that can be used in machine dish washers, but it's different from the ordinary kind that creates so many suds. My guess is that after this training you won't have to worry about that for a while either.

Please keep us up to date as you can.

Best regards,

Jim
